The track is setup in it's own building on the premises of Speedzone Slot Car Raceway in Mt Holly New Jersey and is available for testing by prior arrangement any time between now and September 2021.

Hello racers:
As we navigate the COVID worldwide pandemic, we need to reflect on how much it has impacted all our lives and what it means now in moving forward. It has effectively changed the world and will undoubtedly change how we race in the future with ISRA, because it touches literally every facet of it. We are a worldwide network of racers who depend on many of its commodities to do what we love. The most important of these is of course travel. We rely on international travel to attend races safely, and for the safety of our friends as well. At this time government’s and countries around the world have different protocols for returning to travel given the pandemic which has lasted now for over a year. As more restrictions get lifted, both ISRA and our organization will continue to monitor that progress. With that said, we wanted to give an update towards how we are approaching the 2021 ISRA World Championships.

We are very happy to announce that the venue for the Worlds, Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, has reaffirmed their commitment to holding the race. As would be expected, there will be a few things different to help provide a more safe environment for everyone. All those attending will be staying in a specific part of the hotel with rooms located in the same tower that will also house the track and pit areas. There will be sanitizing stations located at various points inside the venue as well as temperature checkpoints. Sterilizing decontamination for COVID-19 will be done on a daily basis to all pit area rooms as well as the race room and elevators. With these and many more precautions being implemented, It is strongly recommended that those attending the ISRA Worlds reserve rooms at the race venue, Resorts Casino Hotel. The hotel will be providing a reservation code for racers and attendees to use when reserving rooms. This code will be very important, because it lets Resorts know you are there for the Worlds, where to place you, and to charge the negotiated discounted price accordingly. Masks will be mandatory at all times. We cannot begin to describe how gracious Resorts has been in working with us amid the COVID-19 pandemic. By providing a streamlined process for reservations and various safety provisions to even hold the ISRA Worlds, they are trying to ensure a fantastic event and pleasant stay for all attending. It is because of this effort that the support of all the racers would be greatly appreciated.

Janis Nabokins has created a beautiful track which has been setup at Speedzone in NJ, and is open to all for practice and testing. We have recently expanded the race room and pit area to accommodate those racers wanting to attend either the USRA Nationals in April or the ISRA warmup races scheduled for late summer.

Continuing updates and information will be posted regularly to a designated web site reserved for the 2021 ISRA World Championships. The ISRA board has been very helpful with suggestions and information to help us thru this planning process.
We hope this message finds you all well and safe, and provides some early insight into the work and planning of the 2021 ISRA Worlds. We realize everyone is looking forward to getting back to racing safely. We have many special things planned and we are honored to have this opportunity. ISRA registration is not long from now, and we ask for racers to register as early as possible. It has been to long my friends, and we look forward to seeing all of you. This pandemic has created a bit more planning and forethought, but together we can make it a great experience for everyone attending the ISRA World Championships in Atlantic City.

Entries for the 2021 ISRA World Championships to be held in Atlantic City, USA will be opening on Thursday, April 1st 2021 at 16:00 UTC and are scheduled to close on June 30th 2021 at 4:00pm UTC.

As usual if you do not have ISRA points and want to race any (or all) classes you must fill out the online entry form once entries open and you will be put onto the wait list ordered by the time you filled out the online entry form. For those that signed up onto the wait list last year, your place on the wait list has been retained. New racers entering this year will go onto the wait list behind those from last year. For those with ISRA points, due to the postponement of the 2020 ISRA race, no points have been dropped this year, so everyone retains their 2019 rankings.

We are still of course facing the fallout from the worldwide pandemic, but the signs in the USA are encouraging that the borders will start to open soon and international visitors from more countries will be able to enter the USA. The vaccination program in the USA is continuing to roll out, internal airline travel is seeing record numbers of people flying, rapid testing centers are being incorporated into many major airports, and many states are rolling back their covid restrictions. Please keep an eye on the travel situation from your own country to the USA, but at this time we are optimistic that ISRA 2021 will go ahead as planned.

2021 Atlantic City ISRA Worlds Registration Dates

Along with the organizers, Mike & Matt, we have been monitoring the worldwide travel situation and the signs have been good that the US borders were to start opening up by this time. Unfortunately they have not yet opened up, but the signs are strong that inbound travel to the USA should be possible very soon, allowing the event to happen on the scheduled dates.

With that in mind, plus the extensive ongoing discussions we have been having with racers from many countries, Registrations for the 2021 ISRA Worlds in Atlantic City will be extended until July 31st 2021. In addition the organizers are extending the deadline for payment out to August 15th 2021. Anyone who has paid and is not able to travel due to reasons out of their control are guaranteed the return of entry fees paid. isra-slot.com/registration/2021-registration/

We ask everyone that is planning to attend once they are able to travel to get signed up so that Mike and Matt are able to do their final planning for the handout parts, goodie bags, shirts, the final time schedule, pit spaces etc etc. Please bear in mind that the event starts in late September this year, so July 31st is the final cutoff. It is not possible to extend past that date.

Also please make your hotel reservations at the same time. The hotel does not charge you at the time of booking. This is an event that you will want to be staying at the hotel. The room block is in close proximity to the space the pits and track will be in, and staying in the hotel at a premier US Casino is an experience that noone should miss. Make sure you book through the link on the ISRA 2021 website: isra2021.com/index.php/travel/ as that has the group code in the link from that page so the hotel knows your booking is for the ISRA event.

This years banquet is being held at Sweetwater Marina & Riverdeck, owned by Mike. This is an incredible place, and this will be an ISRA banquet and prizegiving like no other. The plan is for buses to take everyone from the hotel across to Sweetwater on Saturday evening, then return everyone back to the hotel once the festivities are over. Please be assured we have been, and are continuing to monitor the travel and vaccination situation across the countries we are all from, and are doing everything we can so that the 2021 event can go ahead as planned as we all get back to racing once again.

To our fellow racers worldwide:

As we have watched the world deal with the effects of the global COVID pandemic, time has run out on our ability to wait any further on making a decision towards the 2021 ISRA World championships in the United States. Travel has not resumed from Europe and abroad to the US, and there does not seem to be any such action taking place anytime soon.

It would not be right in our eyes to see any of ISRA’s supporting countries be excluded from participating thru no fault of their own. With that being said, by the unanimous agreement of the ISRA BoD and our committee, it has been decided in the best interest for everyone to postpone the 2021 ISRA Worlds.

As agreed, Latvia will now continue preparations for the 2022 Worlds after their also unfortunate postponement from 2020. The Worlds will return to the USA in 2023.

We are closing registration and will be refunding those who had sent currency already. The Resorts Casino Hotel venue has been notified of our postponement. They, as well as us, remained very hopeful for changes that would bring the ISRA Worlds to their facility. We thank them for their continued loyalty and understanding amid all this madness. It is our intention to try and retain that venue for 2023 as well so we will keep ISRA posted on our negotiations going further.

We hope this message finds you all healthy and well, as we now look to focus support for Janis Nabokins organization for Latvia in 2022.

We would like to thank Resorts Casino, the ISRA BoD, our many manufacturers, race directors, and everyone who has been involved for their support and hard work with the USA race preparation during very difficult circumstances.

Thank you to all those racers who registered in the hope of a better outcome. We remain very positive and promise to use this postponement time to plan and even better 2023 Worlds for everyone when ISRA returns to the USA in 2023.
